Reliance Launches GSM Service in Mumbai

Reliance Communication (RCom), who claimed to be the first telecom operator to offer mobile services on both CDMA and GSM platforms has launched its GSM operations across the country. In a bid to entice new subscribers to the service, the operator is offering tariffs at attractive rates. The operator announced its launch in Mumbai circle with a new scheme offering Rs 900 talk time spread over three months.

Reliance CommunicationRCom’s new scheme dubbed as Customer Experience Programme offers Rs 900 talk time on local calls and SMS which can be accrued by subscribers in daily packages of Rs 10 each for 90 days. Additionally the scheme also offers unlimited calls between 11.00 pm to 6.00 am within RCom network in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa. The scheme is also on offer along with various top-up cards.

RCom claimed that its services will offer congestion-free and zero-Call drop GSM services. The company will offer the services through its retail network comprising of 15,000 retail outlets and more than 100 Reliance stores.
