First, to save Youtube videos on your Hard drive, you need to have Mozilla Firefox browser installed on your system.
If Firefox is installed on your system then follow the below steps:
1. Play the Youtube video that is to be saved in Firefox.
2. Once the video is fully played, close Firefox.
3. Navigate to “C:\Documents and Settings\User Profile\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Any Name.default\Cache” (where C: is where the OS is installed, User Profile is the name of the user profile and Any Name can be anything followed by ".default" as folder name).
4. In the Cache folder, rearrange all files by size.
5. Now look for the files with maximum size and its modified time to be around the same time you watched the Youtube video.
6. If you find any files like that then those must be Youtube videos.
7. Change the extension of the files to .flv.
8. Now, play the .flv files in an FLV Player.
