Open notepad application and paste the below

Save the file as eicar.com.
If the anti virus software stopped you, then it means its working.
Don't worry, the European Institute for Computer Anti-virus Research (EICAR) have asked anti virus researchers to program the software to recognize this as a threat even tough it's completely harmless.
