For those of you, who use Gtalk within Orkut will see some improvements in chatting with your friends without any installation or separate window.
Many people are bombarded with chat requests when they go online, so Google has made some improvements in Gtalk within Orkut to make it "spam free" and slightly intelligent.
Google has mentioned in a blog post that they have come up with a formula that automatically predicts which of your Orkut friends you probably want to chat with, and only tells those people that you're signed into Google Talk. This automatic filtering is done based on your account activity, recent scrap conversations, best friends and people who have friends in common with you.
However, Google has provided the option to customize your contacts and you will have the final say on who will be able to see you online. These tools though have not been fully implemented in all accounts as of now.

This new feature is not currently available to all users but Google is planning to roll it out to all users over the next few weeks.
