Today, Apple has launched the iTunes 8.02 along with the much awaited firmware version 2.2 for the iPhone/iPhone 3G and the iPod Touch devices. The latest update is now available through the iTunes.
The improvements and the new features that have been made in this release include Google Street View, public transit and walking directions in Google Maps, updated Mail, Safari and improved sound quality of visual voicemail messages. One of the most important feature is the ability to download podcasts using the iTunes. The iPod Touch update does not include the streetview feature.
As of now the iPhone Team are recommending users to delay upgrading to the new firmware through iTunes until Pwnage and QuickPwn tools are updated to support the new firmware. Lets, hope that these tools are updated pretty soon so that the users can get hands on to the new feature which has quite interesting things in it.
